Kindergarten!

Well after a whirl wind summer, we came home from Oregon, had a few days to rest, and then we launched our first child into kindergarten!  Emeline started at our local Spanish immersion school.  We are all excited about this new adventure!

The Friday before the first day of school, there was a class list posting party.  Emeline got to find out he teacher's name, meet a few classmates, have some pizza and tacos, and we got to learn about the many activities and opportunities for involvement.  It was all exciting and a little overwhelming.  But the girls had fun dancing to some great Latino music wearing party dresses still being worn after a friend's birthday in the morning.

It was all good fun.  Then we had a weekend to try to practice going to bed and waking up earlier, but  then Monday morning, we were off on the first day of school.  Emeline off to kinder and Kate off to her first day back at preschool.

Kate was a little sad Emeline was not going the same school as her.  The duo has separated a bit for now.

We had our baby sitter Emily take Kate to school, with Adele in tow, so Wes and I could both go with Emeline to her class on the first day and meet her teacher.  We parked in the neighborhood and walked on in.

And here she is, just on the edge of campus, posing for a first day of school shot.

In her classroom line.

And reading with us before the parents were asked to leave.

And one picture of the door to her class after we said good bye.

It was an exciting and an emotional day for all.  Our first baby is in school!
