19 Week Ultrasound Video

We're back! We were in Malaysia and Hong Kong for a few weeks, and now were exhausted and home again. We'll be working on posting pics as the jet lag wears off.

But in the mean time, you can be amused with Baby Zuber's first video performance. We had our big ultrasound just before we left. The little one is quite a mover, so it was hard to see him/her clearly, but you can enjoy the little miracle below.



And for those of you dying to know the gender, it's a SURPRISE! So you all will know when we do, sometime around May 2, which is about 17 weeks from now...we're over halfway there! If you care to guess, give us your opinion in the poll on the side bar. Happy guessing!

Malaysia - Day 1 - 12/12/09

We took the most amazing trip to Malaysia for David and Heather's wedding, with a short stop over in Hong Kong on the way back.  Here are some photos of our adventure!

Wes will have his last final EVER tomorrow! Woo hoo! Then we are off to Malaysia! Please pray for good finals and safe travels :)

Thanksgiving

We hosted our first big Thanksgiving dinner this year. I had a blast planning, cleaning, cooking, prepping, and eating too! We got to use our wedding china for the first time, and we tried to keep up the tradition of lots of family recipes, with all the trimmings! Here's the whole gang and all the food!

Here's some of the prep. Aren't cranberries amazing? I've never cooked with fresh ones before, always dried. And they were beautiful! So fun to listen to them pop as I made the sauce.

Wes BBQed the turkey, completed with injections of butter and spices. Mmm!

Browned to perfection!

Grandma Betty helped me make (or rather, did most of the work) making clover leaf rolls, which were inspired by an amazing dinner at Donna & John's. Our rolls were good, but I must say, John's were better.

I had lots more help from David, Heather, Wes' parents, my grandparents, and more! I wish I had a picture of Heather's beautiful pies! They were amazing!

And finally...the leftovers. I guess I over estimated for my first big dinner, but hey, no cooking for a week!

It was lots of fun and I hope to do it again. Happy Thanksgiving!
