Here's a glimpse into our January!

We spent the afternoon of New Years Day catching up with our good friends, the Woons.  It had been far too long since we'd gotten together.  We met up at the park, and the kids had a blast playing in a huge pile of leaves there.  Here are some of the fun pics!

Kate likes to play dress up during nap time.  This time she put on Emeline's old soccer uniform.  She wants to be a soccer player too!

The cake I made for my grandmas 80th.  Chocolate cake filled with mint chocolate ganache and frosted with mint buttercream.  And my first two tiered cake!

Girls weekend

I had the awesome opportunity to have a night away with some girlfriends at the coast, in honor of Heidi's birthday.  We stayed at a house in Pacific Grove, then spent Saturday morning enjoying the 17 mile drive ending in Carmel for lunch.  Unfortunately, I had to head back to reality after that, but the other ladies enjoyed more of the weekend together.

I didn't take many pictures except for scenes of the 17 mile drive.  It was gorgeous.  There were way too many selfies taken (I must say, I think I took the least amount), but I've included a few anyway.  It was cloudy, but absolutely gorgeous.  Enjoy!

Blogkeeping

Hi all,

Just a note to my readers who use blog reading apps, like Bloglovin etc...

If you haven't noticed, I tend to blog in a flurry these days.  I usually try to sit down once a month and upload pics from the last month, highlighting special events.  Since this is our online family scrapbook, I date all the posts with dates close to when they actually occurred.  Unfortunately, that doesn't work well for blog feeds. I use bloglovin, and none of my posts ever show up in my feed.  So, for those of you who use those sites and think I've quit blogging, here are a link to the posts I just did in a flurry.

Adele's first day of preschool

Adele started preschool!  A couple weeks after her second birthday, she started going two mornings a week (same as Kate) to the 2s program at Pasitos.  She was so excited to go to school with her sister, and this time actually get to stay and play!

All three of them before they headed out, Emeline didn't have school that day, so she got to tag along for preschool drop off.

Usually, Wes does preschool drop off, but I've always done it on anyone's first day, so that I can stay and make sure they feel comfortable.  This was completely unnecessary with Adele.  She was off and running when we got there.  I stayed for a little while, but she really wanted nothing to do with me, so Emeline and I left to go get her a haircut and run some errands.  When I asked Adele for a hug goodbye, she said "No!".  So that was that.  Preschool for #3 has started.  She was ready to go!  Here are some pics of her playing on her first day.

Visiting with Audrey & Dave

Audrey and Dave were up visiting for Mary and Sam's wedding.  The girls had great fun spending time with them.   One evening we had them over for dinner, and the girls played with them and the cute doll blankets Auntie Audrey sewed for them.



The next night we went out to dinner, but the girls still found ways to play and cuddle at the restaurant.






It was lots of good times with some of our favorite people!
