Headed home

After a good time visiting family and friends, we had to head home.  On the way back, we stopped at a couple of our favorite places.

The girls love running scootering around UO.  It's a great way to burn off all that pent up energy from being in the car, and it's fun to show them my old stomping grounds and pick up some duck clothes or yumm sauce.

I love pics of the girls on campus.  It was a beautiful day!

Some good car naps followed.

That night we stayed in Ashland at our usual place, which has an indoor pool.  The girls were super excited.

Hotels also mean lots of piling on each other on beds and cartoons.

The next day we were off, with a pit stop in Redding for lunch and running around the mall.  It was so hot it was awful to be outside, so the mall is a great place for the kids to play.

And then, for our dinner stop, we went to the Nut Tree.  I had been here lots of times as a kid, but we rediscovered in on a trip last year.  A carousel, train, and lots of fun things to play on, as well as fun restaurants.  It makes for a long rest stop, but helps add some fun to a day of driving.

Carousel fun!

Playground fun!

Three cuties on a train!

With the grand finale of a super special ice cream sundae!
