West Linn Old Fashioned Fair

During our summer trip to Oregon, we had the opportunity to take the girls to the West Linn Old Fashioned Fair for the first time.  Wes and his sisters grew up going to the fair every summer.  It's held in the park across the street from his mom's house.  They would do chores around the house and around the neighborhood to save up money to spend on fun things at the fair.  The cousins who live in Seattle come down regularly for the fair, but this is the first time we've been able to make it up that weekend.  The girls had lots of fun.

The fair festivities start off with an old fashioned town parade.  Local groups dress up, make floats, and throw candy to the kids.  Here are some photos.

After the parade, the fair opens and everyone heads down to the park to get started on the fun.  Funny photos...

Rides! Emeline and Benjamin.  Love his smile!

Cousin Leah rides too.
