Thanksgiving in Oregon

We spent Thanksgiving week at Grandpa David's house, but visiting with lots family from Wes' side.

Before the festivities began, the girls spent time romping around the big back yard.

Adele in the wind, saying, "Cheese!!".

A little time at the Imagination Station.

And even though it was sunny, it was freezing cold outside, so most of the playtime was inside.  Adele broke a large vase my mom had picked out, dropped some of her decorative crystals, and who knows what else.  But the coffee table drum is always a big hit!

And the piano of course :)

When the cousins arrived, we got more musical listening to Kaelin play the violin.

Kaelin also shared her make up with her little sister and younger cousins, who had a blast with getting all dolled up.

Wes and I had lots of fun playing host at my dads house.  It was wonderful to have a bigger kitchen to cook in and big dining table to host Grandma Chris and Grandpa Nick, Auntie Jen and baby Bishop (we missed uncle Derek!), Auntie Tracey, Uncle Kevin, and Kaelin and Leah. All the cousins had a lot of fun together.

Here they all are diving in and trying fried up turkey liver!

Hmmm...not bad...til they found out what it was :)

Baby Bishop had his first Thanksgiving!  Sporting the bib that Grandma Chris gave Emeline and all three of our girls wore :)

Stuffing and heart shaped turkey necks ready for the oven!

All of us ready for the yummy dinner.

Digging in!

Desserts!  Tiramisu and pumpkin pie!

Adele loving her pie and her Auntie and Grandpa.

Giving hugs to baby B.

And last but not least, Kate in heaven feeding her cousin.

We have a lot to be thankful for this year!

Meeting Baby Bishop

We weren't able to meet Baby Bishop on our trip to Oregon this summer, and we really wanted to get a chance to meet this sweet guy while he is still a baby.  We normally don't make the drive up for Thanksgiving, but this year, since Wes had the week off, we decided to make the drive to meet Jen's sweet son and get in some good family time.

Baby B did not disappoint!  He is such a sweet natured boy with a big smile!

Here he is with proud Uncle Wes!

The girls were so excited to meet him.

Everyone wanted a turn holding him, and he was pretty tolerant of getting passed around :)

Kate waited very patiently for her turn too.

And was very happy to get it :)

Adele loved him too and wanted lots of hugs.

But Bishop started to get hungry.

Emeline LOVED that Auntie Jenn let her feed him.

Adele also loved playing in his car seat ;)

And had lots of fun with sunglasses at Grandma Chris' house.

Grandma Chris also made the most fun "turkey" salads for the girls.  She's so creative and puts in so much effort to make special things for her grandkids.

We had a great first visit!  Adele didn't want to say goodbye, just wanted to keep rocking this sweet little guy.

We're so glad Baby B is here and we finally got to meet him!

Fall Soccer

Emeline played another season of soccer this fall.  This year, we did AYSO and she was teamed up with some girls from her school.  It was fun to get to know more families from our school.  The girls decided to name their team Los Tiburones Azules (the blue sharks).  The team mom made a pretty awesome banner to put up a the games.

Here's this year's soccer pic.

Emeline had a great time this season.  She played hard and was one of the strong players on the team.  She says she wants to play soccer forever!  I think she likes the sport ;)  Here are a few snapshots from the season.

Kate wants to play too :)

It was a fun group of families to play with and we all had fun at the end of the season pizza party.  Here's a couple of photos showing off her memorabilia.

Emeline wants to try softball in the spring, so see you next fall soccer!
