Maui: Lost Tooth and Honokawai Beach

Emeline had her first loose tooth for a while before we headed to Maui.  In fact, I was worried I was going to miss her losing it while I was in Nicaragua.  But that little tooth held on until Maui.  We woke up one morning and she was excited to show us it came out!  What a fun place to lose a first tooth.

More pics by the beach with Great Grandma and the girls.

Later that day we headed to Honokawai beach just north of Kanapaali.  Some friends recommended it because there is a playground there as well.  It ended up being too hot to play on the play structure, but the beach was very calm and perfect for the kids to play in.

Maui: Snorkeling

One of our days in Maui, Aunt Diane and Grandma Diane watched the girls so Wes and I could join my dad and aunts and uncles for a snorkeling trip.  This was my first time, and it was wonderful.  Such a gorgeous boat ride out to the coast of Lanai, and it was so relaxing to float around watching the sea life.  Here are some of the pictures...

Maui: Shave Ice under the Banyan Tree & Massage Day

More Maui!

Sweet Adele, wiped out from all the late nights...

Heading into Lahaina for dinner and shave ice.

Rainbow shave ice...what dreams are made of...

The ladies from the trip, myself, Grandma Diane, Aunt Diane, and Aunt Susan took a trip into the hills to get an authentic lomi lomi massage.  Here we are outside the spa.

Here we all are post massage and relaxed.

Enjoying some time in the town of Makawao.

Maui: Taking off, Around the Condo, and Celebrating

We had a wonderful trip to Maui to celebrate my dad turning 60.  Here's some photos from the first part of our trip.

Getting ready to take off...

Landed!  Adele kept saying, "Hawaii?!?"

Around the condo we stayed in...

Celebrating!  Happy 60th Birthday Dad!  A Hawaiian themed carrot cake with lemon cream cheese icing.  A little melty in the heat, but yummy!
