Iphone photo dump

Here's a glimpse into our February. As I start to caption these photos, I notice that most of them start with "when X was home sick...". Let's just say I think we spent half of January and all of February with at least one of the five of us sick.  So the winter goes...

Adele, silly as ever, even with a fever.

Emeline with the camera. Framing it well.

Kate and her homemade gummies. They look better than they turned out. Too much gelatin.

My crazy family!

Adele explores the playhouses, while sporting one of her first pony tails :)

Some cute pics from preschool.

Kate, Annie, and Adele drawing while big sisters are at gymnastics.

A cutie with a knife!

Emeline and Adele are up from naps first. They play so well together.

Bubbles in the backyard!

A red velvet cake I made for Valentine's Day, Chinese New Year, and small group birthdays.

Valentine's Day flowers. The delivery lady was very animated!

Strong Papa!

Fun at Anna's birthday.

Another sleeping sweetie.

Mommy is too sick to serve in kids church, so we do impromptu lunch date and hair cuts. Having fun at lunch!

Kate was too scared to sit in the chair, but Emeline got her much longed for bob.

Sweet sisters.

Kate has been refusing naps, but this day sleep got the best of her.

Home sick means frozen yogurt to soothe our sore throats and a trip to the park to climb trees and run off the sugar.

Everyone wants to sit on the table to watch a movie.

Kate all tuckered out on her trike...wearing her shirt that is "just like Papa's!"

Adele's curls and Emeline's perspective

I actually got out the "real" camera tonight because I was captivated by Adele's curls, and I wanted to capture them.  She had this great, big, perfect curl right on the top of her head.  I kept trying to get the right angle.  It was hard to do those curls justice, but I did my best.

Then Emeline asked to take some pictures with the camera.  I actually said yes, showed her how to push the shutter button, and off she went.  Here are some of the fun ones.  I love her perspective! I also love how it's a snapshot into our after dinner moments.

Quotes

Kate: Give me some base! (Space)
~
After laying with Kate before bedtime.
Me:  Okay, it's been five minutes, good night.
Kate: Okay goodnight....wait, I have to tell you a secret.
Me: (leaning in)
Kate: (whispering) God is so big, so sting and so mighty. There's nothing our God cannot do. Do do do do.
~
Adele reaching for the stove.... Her first word! (Jan 29)
Me:  It's hot!  Hot.
Adele: Ha!
