Easter

Easter felt busy this year, on the heels of Emeline's birthday celebration.  But it was a fun and celebratory day as well.

The girls woke up to Easter gifts, our Easter candles, and the resurrection story.

Kate' reaction when she saw the table, "Mommy, why did you get us pigs?"  Good question Kate, mommy just thought piggy banks would be a cute Easter present.

They had lots of fun looking at the candy in their bags and enjoying their new books.

We also opened Easter baskets from Grandma Chris!  Kate loved her headband :)

Then we headed off to church.  I made mini lemon flower tarts using up some of the lemon curd from Emeline's lemon cake.  Yum!

A moment with Grandpa David before we headed out the door...

We tried to take a family photo, but Kate was way too upset by the idea.

Then a yummy breakfast at church.

Emeline got to sing and do some hand motions to kick off the service.

And lots of fun at the Easter egg hunt after church.

Including turning people in to whipped cream bunnies!  Emeline had loads of fun spraying Chris with whipped cream.

We were able to snap a couple nice pics after  church when everyone was much more happy.  Kate is still not a big fan of family photos.

We ended the morning with a delicious brunch (and more gifts for the girls) at Aunt Diane's.

It was a lovely day!  He is risen!
